There have been many ghost stories and hauntings from the city of York. I love York and have visited their on a number of occasions. On one such visit I stayed at a guest house with my family, the accommodation was in a ground floor annex. When we arrived there was a strange feeling that someone was watching us. There was an empty room to the side of the accommodation which you could see into, but the door was kept locked.
On the first night we put the children to bed in the adjoining room, I would leave my mobile phone switched on in case anyone wanted to contact me. My wife was just going to sleep when something caught her attention. When she looked at the mobile phone there where strange coloured lights circling it. My wife watched these lights circle around the phone for about two minutes, until she became very frightened, and called me. However as soon as we looked again at the mobile phone the lights had stopped.
It was very difficult to sleep again in this room.
