The others is one of my favourite ghost films. It is about a mum and her two children who are living in a big house which seems to be haunted, however it turns out that they are the ghosts, and the ghosts that seem to be are actually the living trying to get in touch with them. A truly marvellous twist to a great ghost story. If you haven't seen it, not to be missed.

A city council believes it may have proof that ghosts really do exist after something strange was caught on film at a Victorian museum. Security cameras in Belgrave Museum in Leicester appear to have captured pictures of ghostly apparitions in the grounds of the museum.

Curator Stuart Warburton said: "The security cameras at the back of the hall triggered off one night at about 4.50am, and then suddenly ... two figures appear on the film.
"The camera freezes for about five seconds and then the figures disappear. And then we have a mist that swirls along the top of the wall, which we cannot explain.
"The hall is haunted, there is no question about that," Mr Warburton added.
There have been supernatural sightings here before. The museum gardener, Michael Snuggs, is convinced he has seen a ghost.
"I was standing in the house and from the top of the stairs, this figure appeared and walked down the stairs.

The women who once lived in Belgrave Hall - did they ever leave?

"At the bottom, she looked through the window at the garden, and then just turned and smiled, and walked through to the kitchen," Mr Snuggs said.
Belgrave Hall, a Victorian townhouse, was originally owned by the local MP, John Ellott.
Many believe that one of his daughters is still present here now - as the ghost of Belgrave Hall.
Haunted or not, the security camera footage is now being tested as experts are determined to get to the bottom of this mystery.

Green light

My work collegue told me a story about a green light, like an orb, that came straight though the window went right around the room and went out again though the wall, both her and her partner saw this. Why a green light? what does this mean? why her house? was it looking for something?. This is very strange, what do you think?

Supernatural experience in York

There have been many ghost stories and hauntings from the city of York. I love York and have visited their on a number of occasions. On one such visit I stayed at a guest house with my family, the accommodation was in a ground floor annex. When we arrived there was a strange feeling that someone was watching us. There was an empty room to the side of the accommodation which you could see into, but the door was kept locked.

On the first night we put the children to bed in the adjoining room, I would leave my mobile phone switched on in case anyone wanted to contact me. My wife was just going to sleep when something caught her attention. When she looked at the mobile phone there where strange coloured lights circling it. My wife watched these lights circle around the phone for about two minutes, until she became very frightened, and called me. However as soon as we looked again at the mobile phone the lights had stopped.

It was very difficult to sleep again in this room.

The image you can see is of Speke Hall in Liverpool. If you look in the arch to the left of the door there appears to be a woman in a long dress looking at a dog to the right of the door.

Do ghosts exist? My opinion is that they do. What do you think about ghosts, and hauntings? Is there another spirit world where dead people go?.

Ghost keys story

This story is true and happened to me in 1991.

My family and I had lived in a house in Wallasey for about five years. We had always had a feeling that the house was haunted although we had not actually seen anything, except that my four year old son would not sleep in the back bedroom because he claimed to have seen a white cloud in there.

I had been on an early shift at work and returned to the house at about 3.30pm, when I opened the door I shouted "Hi I am home". I looked down the hall to see the kitchen door shut, with the keys in the door. They where swinging backwards and forwards which indicated someone had just slammed the door shut. I shouted again with no reply and watched the keys in the door which continued to move backwards and forwards. To my surprise the keys then moved even higher to the left and then back to the right.

I stood and watched the keys for about twenty minutes. What was moving them?. I was just amazed, and in the end I ran to the door to stop the keys. My heart was beating so fast, I opened the kitchen door, but the house was empty. My wife returned ten minutes later. We moved house about a year later as we never felt comfortable in the house. I am sure it was haunted.
